Beard Care 101: Using Beard Oil

Contrary to what your grandfather says, being well-groomed doesn’t mean that you need to shave. However, if you opt out of shaving daily, it is best to keep your facial hair soft, shiny and smooth. Using a beard oil will help with that.

If you’ve watched any award-shows recently or seen bearded gentlemen in GQ, you’ll notice that the modern beard appears soft and tame (unlike that of Santa Claus.) A few simple steps added to your daily routine will make your beard more comfortable for yourself and your significant other.

What does beard oil do?

A quality beard oil includes ingredients (essential oils and botanicals) that provide moisture to facial hair and the skin underneath. If you live in a cold or dry climate, your facial hair may become brittle, resulting in a sharp, course feeling. When dry, facial hair can become flaky. A beard oil helps replenish that moisture to minimize flakes and that rough feeling.

How do you use it?

You can use your beard oil every morning or at morning and at night. Daily maintenance and overall health of the beard keeps your facial hair looking and feeling healthy.
